Welcome to the funnest, most spirited alumni group on the Plains – the AUBURN ALUMNI BAND!

Who we are:   

The Auburn University Alumni Band, Inc was established in 1987 and celebrated its 35th Anniversary this Fall. Our purpose is to promote fellowship among alumni/former members of the AU Band, foster a close relationship between the AU Band and its Alumni, and support the AU Band, financially and otherwise. 

What we do: 

Our primary event is an annual reception and reunion each fall (we even had an online reunion during COVID in Fall 2020) during which we gather to play, march, cheer, visit with old friends and make new ones, and generally share our love for the AU Band and its traditions. Occasionally, we also have other in-person or zoom events. We raise money annually to financially support AU Band students via the Auburn Alumni Band Endowed Scholarship and the AU Band.

How we operate: 

We are led by an elected Board of Directors consisting of 5 officers and 16 other members and are guided by an Advisory Committee (currently, Dr. Rick Good and AUMB alumni members Dr. Rusty Logan ’76 and Mr. Steve Fleming ’84). Board meetings are held at least twice per year with additional officer and committee meetings held throughout the year as needed. We are guided by By-Laws and organized and incorporated under the laws of the state of Alabama. We are also recognized as a 501(c)3 organization by the Federal Internal Revenue Service, meaning that all donations made to the Auburn Alumni Band are 100% tax deductible.

How to become a member: 

Any alumnus, former member (does NOT have to be a graduate of AU) or director of the AU Band may become an active member of this organization upon payment of annual dues, which are generally due each Fall. We do offer decreased dues for recent graduates! Look for more information to be sent via email/FB/IG/Web in Summer/early Fall each year regarding annual dues and our Reunion date.

How to purchase merchandise:

Alumni Band merchandise is available for purchase at our online Square Store and in-person at the annual reunion; annual dues and donations may also be paid via this site. Profit on all merchandise sales is donated to our Endowed Scholarship.
